While writing my auto ethnography, I learned more about the history of baseball that I didn’t know before. I learned that most of the interests I enjoy today I got from my childhood and the people who have always been in my life. I didn’t know many of the people in my class’ interests, and this helped me learn more about them. The most important part of an auto ethnography is reflecting on a subculture you take pride in.
Jackson was able to find out more details about his sport that before he did not know. He and I both learned more about our peers subcultures. His childhood was essential to obtaining his interests as was mine. I agree that taking pride in your subculture is very important.
